Selected as this quiet municipal is an ideal overnight spot on the way east or south as it is 319km from Calais and has easy access from motorways. It is next to a small fishing lake, 2km from the centre of Châlons and within walking distance of a bakers and chemists. There is pleasant spacious feel to the site so for those wishing to visit the Champagne houses a longer stay is recommended.

Very basic shop in reception which specialises in local produce. Pre-order bread. Chip van comes to site every day from 6pm and a van selling roast chickens on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Barbecues allowed. Dogs accepted. Free Wi-fi with password.

Two toilet blocks - the one behind reception is more modern. Both are respectable, clean and functional but are getting dated. Separate ladies and gents with toilet paper. Temperature control showers with hooks and individual wash basins with a mixer tap. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Chemical disposal point. Washing machine and tumble dryer.
The site is located in the south-west area of the city. From the A4 take exit 27 Châlons-enChampagne centre. Stay on the ring road and exit to Saint Memmie. The site is well signposted through the back streets of the city. From A26 take exit 18 and head towards the city centre. Then follow signs to Vitry-le-François and the N44. The campsite is well signposted.
